How it all began

My Husband and I love to travel, in fact it's probably the reason why we are together! So I have decided it's time to let you all in on it, what makes us tick?

It all started when we met and started to swap travel stories and ambitions and then as time went on it became a bit of an obbsession. Our first of many goals was to both travel to 100 countries! Steve has now reached 97 and me, well I am 10 behind him (he is 10 years older than me so had a headstart!) The Country list we chose to follow is published by the Travel Century Club and this has sent us to some pretty unusual places and the more we do the more our passion for it grows.

Hope you enjoy as we share some of our experiences with you.

One of our best nights out ever!
Two days before our wedding in Cornwall
Thanks to all of you who were there

Britain's Overseas Territories

Another of our ambitions is to visit each and every one of Britain's 14 Overseas Territories. They are spread throughout the globe and are made up of very diverse communities.

They range from the tiny island of Pitcairn with its 47 inhabitants, set in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, to Bermuda, which has a population of over 62,000 and is one of the world's major financial centres.

The Overseas Territories are:
Anguilla, British Antarctic Territory, Bermuda, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, St Helena and Dependencies (Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha), Turk and Caicos Islands, Pitcairn Island, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, Sovereign Base Areas on Cyprus
There are six major disputed territories in the world: the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the Paracel Islands, Spratly Islands, Western Sahara, and Antarctica (about a dozen nations have laid claims to portions of it). In addition, there are innumerable other territorial disputes throughout the world, many of which had resulted in ongoing armed conflicts.
